Re: Woman gives birth.
So it's been announced:
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor
I still think that Rodney or Dwayne would have been better.
Steve
PS Isn't Archie just short for Archibald?

Probably a George Harrison fan and Wodehouse's 'The indiscretions of Archie'? Mountbatten for obvious reasons and Windsor because it's better than Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and also the name of a soup.
Steve
PS If you're a fan of Jeeves and Wooster, you should read 'The indiscretions of Archie'. Very funny and I'm sure that Wodehouse based Wooster on Archie.

Nothing wrong with a patronymic in the names. Ask any Russian or Icelander.

Heh. Do you think they're trying to revive patronymics here? Will the feminists allow it without it becoming at least Harrimegson, or preferably Megharison?
Icelanders can take it from either parent. I think that originated with single mothers; don't know to what extent it still is.

Re: Woman gives birth.
They may have not taken up my suggestion to name the newborn Arthur, after Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington who gave Johnny Foreigner a good slapping, but Archie is fine: after the archers at Agincourt who gave Johnny Foreigner ... etc

Or Prince2 - he could work in project management if the Royal stuff dries up
Or 'The Royal formally known as Prince2'? He could eventually sign his name with a suitable glyph.
