Yes of course we all like this music I expect but what is depressing about 'times like these'? It is almost midsummer and the weather not too bad. The countryside looks good. The small matter of politics has always been with us and is best ignored.

At the time you posted it had been raining here for most of the day, we had shut all of the windows to keep the cold out and were seriously discussing putting the heating back on

To be honest, I'm with CK. These ARE depressing times. In all my years on this planet I cannot think of a time when I have felt more worried about the future of our nation and of the world in general, and I am old enough to remember the dark days of the Black Death in the 1340's
