Ugh.

But surely most of us are of an age to have learned hovering above the seat, when the vast majority of public loos were so unsavoury as to deter one from any kind of contact.

I've never forgotten one in Kano Airport, Nigeria. The wild life in it was enough to put you off your urgent need.

The tilt doesn't change. It's the movement around the orbit of the sun which results in the northern hemisphere being angled towards the sun
[/pedant mode]
Having said that, the rain does seem a wee bit warmer today

That's ok K.

The mere fact that your going shopping on the Sunday before Chrsitmas tells me that you don't need any more of a kicking.

Now, it's looking chilly but clear outside. A coffee wander beckons.

Earliest London sunset was 13th December and latest sunrise will be 31st December

Why are these not on the winter solstice?

Completely unrelated, perihelion will be on 5th January

That's the bit between your bum hole and your baw bag isn't it? I didn't know it had a day. I suppose everything has to have a day these days. International Day of the Gooch. Nice.

Right now it's 26 degrees warmer here than it is in Saskatchewan. Might climb a hill tomorrow to cool down a bit.

According to the Daily Excess and their seemingly hourly weather updates, the entire country should be covered under 12 feet of snow as a result of a BITTER Acrtic/Northern/Nordic/Polar BLAST.

I've just been out. It's 12 degrees.

Oh and Android users should delete this app from their phones IMMEDIATELY.

And Paradoxically global warming has weakened the cold current return path down in the depths - and if this weakening continues this ocean circulation system could cease, making the climate in the UK like Labrador.

indeed that's a big part in why the parlance has changed from "global warming" to "climate change"
- it's a balance, and a very fine one at that

This has been known (as a possibility) for a long time. It was early 1998 I wrote about it in material that went into high schools throughout Europe, from where at least some of a generation now nearly 40 will have seen it 8-)

A Moray craft brewer has raised more than £600,000 to capitalise on international growth opportunities and turbocharge production.

WooHa Brewing Company will use......

Unfortunate name...?

....including a beer specifically for its growing Chinese audience.

It's going to go viral.

A friend reminded me...

Well, this is it.

January 31st 2020 at 11pm.

A step into the unknown. A momentous day indeed.

To quote Winston Churchill.......'This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning'.

Brace yourselves. Because this is when football transfer window 'slams shut'

.....it's amazing how football fans think compared to normal people. It's almost like an alternate reality.
