I came across this post from 2014 recently, where Leo The Bear was contemplating throwing caution to the winds and buying a car for pleasure rather than utility - http://boards.fool.co.uk/is-it-worth-sp ... sort=whole
So Leo, I was idly wondering did you ever cast off the burdens of responsibility, and if so what did you buy? Or are you still running the trusty Mondeo into the ground?

Re: For Leo The Bear
Well he still had the Mondeo in 2016, but it took a knock that might have been terminal http://boards.fool.co.uk/death-of-a-car ... sort=whole

Re: For Leo The Bear
The older I get the more I turn procrastination into an art form.
I've decided to revisit the idea after we have downsized in the new year. I'll have a much clearer idea about the size of my budget.
Not long after I lost my Mondeo, I was involved in another collision in a hire car.
Lost my appetite for driving for a while after that.
