Pretty cool aircraft.

Geek fact - on the ground they would leak fuel. In the air at high speeds, frictional heating would cause the airframe to expand and the leaks would be sealed.

Looks reasonably fast. ;)

Reminds me when I flew from London to New York in approx 3 hours.

As a passenger in Concord. The plane was seriously delayed taking off from Heathrow and the pilot was given permission to fly faster than he had ever made the trip before. I think we did it in around 3 hours 10 minutes.

Those were the days.

Lockheed SR-71 "Blackbird" Mach 3. I think it remains the fastest jet plane ever. Out of commission now I think.

Yep, very fortunate to have done this three times. 3 hours and 4 mins from Lon to NY with 11 passengers on board!! Think the Captain announced this was a record. But the best was when I got my wish on two occasions and sat up front with the Captain and Co-Pilot for the landing at Heathrow and Antigua. With so few on board the service was simply amazing. Had to stop my wife from nicking so many Concorde Cushions and paraphernalia(notebooks, pens, makeup sets, etc..still have some). Yes those were the days when heaped amounts of Caviar were served in bowls.
