I quite like Brussels
Did you visit A la mort subite? I never made it there - we used to drink in a place called Falstaff, and a small bar called Kafka up beyond Bourse
(My memories are vague)

Sadly, my limited time there meant that I only really got to do the Top 5 Tripadvisor stuff.

I was impressed that in the main, it wasn't crazy expensive like other European capitals. My four star hotel was 15 mins walk from the Eurostar station, cost 80 Euros a night inc amazing hot and cold buffet breakfast and the price for a pint of draught beer . . . 5 euros.

Definitely need to check out what other cities Eurostar goes to as it almost makes travelling pleasurable compared to flying.

Ha ha! Haven't noticed that before and no-one has pointed it out before!

Would love to say that i'm a country bumpkin but nothing could be further from the truth. Hopefully when i'm retired though things will be different.

Although I see myself more of a UK coastal town (Broadstairs/Bournemouth/Folkstone) type of retiree than a countryside retiree.

I love the sand and sea, although not as much as the Mrs. I'm happy to spend 5 hours reading on the beach, she's happy spending 5 hours swimming in the sea.

But we make a good couple.

Mine isn't disappearing but I 'disappear it' with a No1 cut. I got fed up of combing and generally bothering with it. Who cares at my age ? now it's just 'scratch and go' , I never have a hair out of place. I should have done it sooner.
