If you like that can I suggest Jon Gomm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj7yFt8rhrI
- he's also done a lot of lessons on youtube if you're interested in learning to play in that style

A huge thank you to everyone for all those links. I've just spent the last 30 minutes with my mouth hanging wide open in utter shock and disbelief.

I taught myself classical guitar when I was 18, taught myself to read music but never got beyond about grade 5 standard.

Half the things in these videos, I never knew were possible.

Absolutely unbelievable!!!

Those clips are fabulous - so talented.

This one is quite good fun - not quite as advanced as the others, but still nice to watch once he really gets going after a couple of minutes.

That's going back to the dawn of youtube!

Going back even further and, while it's still guitar, entirely different
- I'll offer Jerry Donahue from a 1987 episode of Equinox

Only found out about Lenny Breau in the last year or so (despite having worked professionally in the music industry since 1982...)
Stunning player...https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... enny+breau

Guthrie Govan should get a mention too really, a particular favourite here (1st take apparently, which is just ridiculous...).

Another one that particularly impressed me recently...
Rolf Lislevand plays A.Stradivari Sabionari, 1679 guitar - Santiago de Murcia - Tarantela

Yes, utterly ridiculous!...check out the stuff he does with Hans Zimmer live too, very impressive.

Guthrie is one of those child prodigy types, never practises between gigs apparently...

I love that his control of English is on a par with his guitar playing

Watching it on TV it didn't make sense; and some other channel was being videoed so I couldn't go back and watch it again
- I had to wait for the internet and youtube

There is something glorious about how bored he looks and how un-flashy it is
-the only other player I've seen manage it that well is Guthrie Govan and I'm not sure he's human
