Just seen a Xmas advert on TV (Sky News)

Won't be long before the chocolate eggs are in shops.

Hot Cross Buns are on sale, but it's a long time to Good Friday.

I was back home visiting my mum mid-September and Sainsbury's were selling mince pies and Christmas puddings
It's sick and wrong. At least wait until after Bonfire Night

An aged relative in East Anglia called last week to ask 'You haven't planned any trips at Xmas away have you'? .... First time they've called in months. And we never plan even foreign trips abroad that far ahead.

That's code for 'You ARE staying at ours for Xmas'. Gawd it's depressing, I hadn't even thought about Xmas until then...

I'm still staring at a Christmas pudding in my pantry from last year.

I need to adjust my will.

[gloat]Have today taken Mum to purchase her Xmas present ... presents chest, awaits medal. Have already purchased daughters. Parts already arrived, main part arriving on 21st October (this bloody year  ). And yesterday took my two gorgeous ladies (daughter and wife) to a garden centre to see the Xmas offerings. Really great day.

Let's just go back three years. Before this, I wasn't getting the correct medical support for my condition and Xmas was something I had to survive. For the most it was a time to sleep. And that was all day, every day.

Each year, and for the past three years, I gather up my two ladies and waft them off for a day. We stop for breakfast and just shop till we drop. We buy decorations. Trees (We replaced our 20 year old tree three years ago). Lights. Each year we add to our Xmas collection. Yesterday we bought the stuff we need to decorate the archway between our lounge and dinning room. And yes before you ask I will find a way to get some pics when they go up. My girls love Xmas and yesterday felt they would chance their luck and suggest we should put our new "archway" decorations up before December just in case they don't work. I resolutely stood my ground agreed.

For me it's a time to give. A time to say I'm here. Made it. [/gloat]
