If, like me, you spent most of the 90's/00's laughing your [expletive deleted] off at this comic strip creation, I have some news for you.
You know that Larson retired in 1995 when he was in his mid 40's and said enough is enough?
Well, there's been a development:

Loved his stuff. One of the few cartoonists that made me genuinely LOL.

Re: The Far Side by Gary Larson
What a coincidence. I picked up a history of far side book off a shelf off a trendy coffee shop last week and tried to educate my son in the talent of his look at humanity. The deers driving cars for example.
I look forward to seeing something new

Ah, yes.
One of my favourites was of a couple of Stone Age guys playing Rock, Paper, Scissors - and not understanding why every round ended in a draw!

Surely 'Early Experiments in Transportation' is the best of a fantastic bunch.
I think the sense of earnest stupidity, anticipation and impending disaster is just unbeatable.

One of my other favourites was Calvin and Hobbes. Created by Bill Watterson who similarly quit in 1995 saying he'd done as much as he wanted to.

I used to also love Bud Grace who appeared regularly in Punch in the 80s.
