Origin of modern humans 'traced to Botswana'
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-50210701
Scientists say they've pinpointed the homeland of all humans alive today to a region south of the Zambesi River.
This is very interesting news indeed. Not least because I can trace my paternal history back to 1793. At that point all leads are dead as not least, my ancestor was born a bastard, the term being endorsed on his birth certificate Whilst this will have given him access to local parish funds to help with his upbringing it didn't help me in my quest.
So how these guys have managed to work out anything past this is way beyond me.
But not being the sort to miss an opportunity I wanted to ask if any of you guys/gals are up to a class act against Botswana for mineral rights based on the fact that we are indeed the indigenous population

Do you think we should rid Blighty of its most troublesome invasive species?

Hmm a recent DNA test put some of my ancestors in Benin/Togo area which I think is a bit north of Botswana. They probably migrated there from Botswana for a better lifestyle...
