"Just south of Trondheim airport https://tinyurl.com/tkte5to"
Continuing the aviation theme, the airport code for Helsinki is HEL.
FinnAir's flight AY75 flies non-stop from Helsinki to Fukuoka, Japan. Or from HEL to FUK.
I want to take it sometime just for the boarding pass.

Perhaps due to my incompetence in setting up a poll. Or maybe to force you to be decisive. Or maybe I'm just trying to be Scrooge at this time of year

Continuing with the travel theme, it's just after you leave this little place in Austria: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/[expletive deleted],_Austria (which fell foul of LF rules on swearing; I'm sure you can work it out for yourselves should you so wish)

Re: Hell.... where does it begin
Hell is a short bus ride to the east of Trondheim railway station.
I have been to Hell and back. It's a nice little town. I went there on an Inter-Railing holiday in 1991. Beer cost £6.40 a pint (I only had one!).
Wearing my Manchester United fan's hat it has to be Anfield.
And Elland Road

In that vein, I would propose West Virginia. A bit Puritanical. Avoiding Detroit, Michigan is not too bad.

Indeed, I spent some six weeks in Ann Arbor on an extended business trip several decades ago and really enjoyed it. However, I don't believe there's a town called Hell in WV, but there is in Michigan.

Yes, I failed to look at the link before I posted. I wonder if they have one in Wisconsin, which has a lot of Scandinavian connections.
In West Virginia, it pays to be religious and tee total. I stayed in Marietta Ohio when I was visiting Parkersburg. I did spend one night in Buckhannon, preceded by a visit to a speakeasy nearby.

Re: Hell.... where does it begin
My best recollection is of the big volcano in Iceland. The whole area for miles around is so black (with volcanic ash) as to play tricks on the senses. Interrupted only by snow that's so dirty (again, with volcanic dust blown in the wind) that it's nearly black, too.
Though that was then. There has been more seismic activity, not to mention weather, since I was there.

I would imagine boarding a scheduled flight, and once onboard, having to turn right.

There is an easy fix for that situation......you get on at the rear of the plane and you then have to turn left!

I think it was the Boeing 727 where you could board via rear stairs into the tail of the aircraft.
The infamous D.B. Cooper apparently parachuted to his (presumed) death with a big bag full of extorted money somewhere over Oregon from one:

I think i might more recently have boarded an ATP-48 via the rear steps. On that plane the most desirable seats are in the last row in the back. Not that any seat on such a plane could be deemed desirable.

Re: Hell.... where does it begin
Aeroflot used to have some Ilyushin jets on which there was an exit down some stairs to a lower deck, used when the jetway method was unavailable. Those of us in the know would wait until the Hoi polloi had headed to the front, then were first off down the stairs and into the bus at Heathrow.
Back in the days of grim stewardesses and stern rebukes if you didn't confirm.
I think it was the IL87, but I could be wrong after 39 years or so.

Er, and every one of the thousands of easyJet and Ryanair flights that leave these shores. Airbus 320s and Boeing 737s.
You obviously fly at a different level...

Not the Boeing 727 (and DC9) type rear stairs into the tail.

Why has no one mentioned the windowless, eternal hell that is IKEA?
