Have I Got A Bit More News For You was on last night, which seems to be the 45 minute version of the non-existent one from last Friday. Available on iPlayer.

Brilliant, thanks Scott. That was the other reason I was miserable last Friday night. No MasterChef and no HIGNFY.
Cheers

Don't count your chickens. There's plenty more public figures that might have an imminent clog-popping moment.

Thanks also. For a moment there, I thought tonight's watching was going to be a toss-up between Greta Thunberg and the Repair Shop . The Cabbage Patch Kid might not actually be wrong, but by God she's annoying.
BJ (Actually I quite like the Repair Shop. Like soothing morphine during a painful year.)

Indeed. Can you imagine the carnage when the Queen dies? (shudder)

I'm voting for Stacey Dooley to do the Nicholas Witchell job. Should liven up the proceedings no end.
"Ere, is this yore palace?"

You could always turn the idiot-box off and have a nice read or something! You young people with your 'pop music' and "TeeVee"

Actually, I fell into watching the Greta program for the last half hour and found it better than expected. Really quite interesting, and I have to say she is a remarkable young woman. We can all be cynical, but can you imagine being that, doing that yourself at the age of 16-18.
Like the young Mozart, she is seen as a phenomenon - make the most of it Greta because by the time you are 25 the world will be bored, like it was with him.
Annoying? I don't get that feeling in the slightest. Does she prick your conscience, or does she make you realise you weren't so amazing after all?
PS I agree about the repair shop, but I do have the uncomfortable feeling I'm just wasting my time. Watching people do practical things while waiting for the grim reaper. I'm not even learning anything watching the Repair Shop, just literally passing time.

I don't feel I'm missing anything, with no telly.
As to repairing things, I wanted to change the valve stem seals on my Rambler (V8 of course) but I couldn't be [expletive deleted] to heave the (iron) heads off, so I did it with an air compressor. Never done that before. Never too late to learn new practical skills.
And surely, Arb, you've got some halyards to belay, or whatever it is that you yotting* types do?

*note the future signifier of having been to university. Speling, who needs it.....

Re: A Nation Rejoices
I watched Addams Family Values the other night. I was struck by the resemblance of Wednesday Addams to Greta Thunberg.
Just an observation.
