In the absence of a LooTP board perhaps the Snug can become the new home for Cat Of The Day?
Today we have Smokey Poddle Paws Cat. Smokey is a standard issue Moggius Domesticus Pantherus*, and is currently assisting me pooter by sitting 'twixt myself and the keyboard
MM
*in other words, she is a black cat

Re: CotD
Here's a better idea. Let's call for the reincarnation of LooTP.
Our two (and late lamented) tabbies were totally schizoid. Around the house, they were as cuddly and domesticated as you could ever wish. Good with children, ridiculously playful, liked a lap, all the rest of it. By night, however, they turned into ravening little murderers who cleared the farmer's barn of rats and mice, and who were, in both my and his opinion, "proper cats".
We shall not see their like again.

Re: CotD
We have 3 cats - Poppy aged 14 who after 14 years of ignoring us totally has become a right PITA as she's decided to become a lap cat - anybodys lap, she's not fussy. As soon as anyone parks their rear end their lap becomes occupied.
Groucho and his sister Coco, 2 years old. Groucho no longer strays, we lost him for five days and found him approx. 50ft up a tree. Wouldn't come down so grandson used a chain saw to hasten his descent. Coco got hit by a car when she was about 3 months old, it shattered her hip joint but vet advised that as she was young it should heal ok. It has done, she's fearless and not a wimp like her brother. Same mother but Groucho is huge black and white moggie whilst Coco is a very elegant siamese shape but if she was a dog she'd be golden brindle - dark brown with golden flecks. Obviously mum must have been a bit of a girl
