Fight?

"YouTuber Jake Paul will face former world champion Mike Tyson in a boxing match on 20 July.

It is unclear if it will be an official fight or an exhibition bout, but it will be staged in Texas and broadcast live on streaming platform Netflix."

Tyson is 58!

So?

He won't be as strong as he used to be. But I expect he'll still have the strength and the technique to pulverise any normal person of any age. Not a man whose ire I would wish to incur!

Wasn't there supposed to be some billionaires' match? Musk vs Zuckerberg or somesuch? What happened to that?

Tyson should murder Paul

He fought Roy Jones junior in an exhibition match in 2020 and he looked pretty good.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Ty ... y_Jones_Jr.

So I'm assuming he's stillv be fit enough to wipe the floor with an amateur.

George Foreman was 45 when he became heavyweight champion.

Tyson was the greatest fighter ever (note, not boxer)

In theory, it's still on. Musk has been prodding Mr Zuck this week. Mr X says he'll fight anywhere, any time, and to any rules. https://www.livemint.com/companies/peop ... 15851.html

Any rules? Hmmm, that might be an elegant way of improving the planet. Hope he isn't talking through his trousers again.

I have a distant recollection of hearing about how one famous wit (George Bernard Shaw?) was once challenged to a duel, and responded: "In that case, sir, as the challenged party I have the choice of weapons. I choose field guns across a card table."

Can't locate the source, though. Would have been better than Blackadder vs Duke of Wellington.
