But is the colour in the pic a true representation?

Slightly sharpened for facebook. The original below, straight out of the camera.

Hope my "quote" works, first time I've used it.

That looks easier on the eye to me. If I had to choose one ...

But I wasn't thinking of the image being doctored. Rather of how what the camera captures may vary from the actual scene. The combination of the sunlight and the twilight semi-darkness might easily cause a camera to catch a misleading palette.

We've a print of Munch's The Scream in the bathroom on the back of the door facing the loo, only revealed to guests when they close the door, recline and focus. Perhaps alongside I should have another of the 'Wild day at the breakwater'?

Not my pics these but there is some absolutely phenomenal photography and photoshop work here:

Just to pick one out at random, not an entirely fair choice because the photoshopping is more obvious than in most of his work but it showcases his superb composition skills and use of light and colour in an otherwise fairly ordinary scene:

Today, an old wreck of a fishing vessel just down the coast. Also shown is the Moray East Wind Farm support vessel sheltering from storm Malik. Photo courtesy of a friend.
This wreck was featured in the film Life of Pi.

Sorry, appears to be a bad link. Picture sent to me from Germany of a face. half Hitler, half Putin. Not really funny but perhaps appropriate.

Today I visited the trout loch where I fish, since the storms. Shocked by the carnage.

The funny thing is that thousands of mature trees have been trashed in NE Scotland, this must represent many thousands of tons of lost CO2 capture which will take maybe 50 years to replace., yet nothing reported in the press.

Climate change reporting is very selective, inconsistant and sometimes hysterical in view.
