To illustrate, mine and others, can anyone suggest where we host pix in order to post them here?

Maybe they're just not very good?
I never suggested they were 'good', but they are just normal. They do not have blue light filters added, nor do they have images changed to look better, nor edges sharpened up.
I know what they would look like if they did because Google uploads them to some drive thing and offers me an enhanced version.
My sister's are starting to look like cartoons. But I think people are getting used to this style of photography and normal stuff looks lame now.

imgur.com
Once you've uploaded it, right click on image and select "open image in new tab". Copy the URL of that page, then post as an image here.

Not posted here for a while, but here's an image (well 5 images to be precise) that I took today, hope the embedded Flickr link works

That's a really great capture...although some here might not think it a real photograph.

LOL, whatever it is, it's a hell of a good picture. In the whole of my life I've probably only seen two minutes' worth of kingfishers at work. Congrats!

I've 'seen' a few down by the Thames - usually a rapid blue flash then nothing.. No chance of actually getting a photograph

Re: The Lemonfool my pic of the day thread
Thanks for the tips on hosting, it looks like Imgur might be banned here which could explain why several other people have posted describing an image, which their text suggests is within the post, yet which is invisible to me. That's confused me but maybe now I can see why. I'll give Flickr a go and see if I have any joy with that.
- re: Snorvey/Flickr. Thx for the suggestion. Looking back you mentioned Flickr around June 8th last year. Going to their site it appears that to use it I'd have to register for a Yahoo account. Meanwhile I used to use Photobucket quite a lot without problems so I'll have a look at whether than can be reserected...

Thx John, just to clarify that, it's banned in several countries, rather than banned by TLF.
On the bright side it seems like Photobucket is still working for now.

Aha, when you said banned "here" I read the "here" as TLF rather than the country in which you presently reside.

Funny you mention that, I posted that pic elsewhere years ago and a friend did indeed photoshop in said flying pig
IDR when I took that, likely late 90s. Seems strange now how long the Battersea Power Station/Nine Elms district remained a relatively bombed out district right in Zone-1. Needless to say there must have been some kind of festival or public event going that day that included bungee jumping from a crane over the river.

Going very O/T, but The Stranglers at Battersea Park (Sep '78?) is near the top of my 'wish I'd been there' gigs list.I was only 13 at the time so not much chance

All right then, just for you RS. https://imgur.com/WnEr3Ov
Taken last May through the window of our hotel room in the Malverns, with a thunderstorm brewing but with a sudden shaft of late-afternoon light coming through, which totally changed the landscape.
The nuclear explosion in the sky? LOL, my flash went off. Nobody's going to accuse me of post-editing.

And here it is again without the nuclear death burst. Not so interesting, is it?

Just a tip - if you right-click on the page at imgur.com and select "open image in new tab", you can take the URL of that page and have it display as an embedded image in your post here.
