Presumably you are referring to Gary McKinnon, who very definitely has Asperger's (now classified as Autism Spectrum Disorder). ASD makes life significantly more difficult for people unlucky enough to have the disorder and gets progressively more difficult to cope with with age.

His recent article described what he did and what the out of proportion repercussions were https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... rights-act

Nothing unusual there.......but what WAS remarkable was that the kid didn't even claim he had Assburgers Syndrome.

You missed a trick there sonny Jim.

But it sounds as though he must have been smart enough not to do it to US government computers, whereas Lauri Love missed that trick completely and may actually receive some kind of punishment. Luckily, our government are very opposed to punishment for hacking* and may yet fail to extradite him to the States.

* Ever since one of the first hacking trials in this country, where one Joseph Popp wore condoms on his nose and curlers in his beard till the judge let him off as unfit to stand trial.
