The LDs, which as the only anti-Brexit party should be storming ahead, do themselves no favours with such proposals, which unpopularity aside, would be hard to implement as a retrospective tax steal with a cliff-edge.

Yup. With policies such as this, it is almost as if the LDs are going out of their way to make certain that they are not a part of any future government.
