Dutch witholding tax is due to be scrapped in 2020 (part of the Unilever restructuring tale).

Actually you can get paid in either currency from both. It is the tax treatment that varies. If you look at any RNS from RDSA/RDSB for dividend announcements, it explains it all there. https://www.investegate.co.uk/royal-dut ... 0500P2088/ is the latest.

Thanks for the Shell replies. Any more investment information (in RDSB) would be great. I may make a purchase if/when the price is right. Looks like a decent HY share, but I want to do some more research first.
