I don't subscribe to most instruments. As I like to time buys.

But i decided to make an exception for SLV. Subscribing monthly to it, and then add a few quid on timed buys.

I started at 13.79. The plan is to stay subscribing until it hits 20.00. And then simply hold for 40.00 . That needs to come within two years after hitting 20.00 , or it's wasted capital. Given a historic bull run, I'm sure a historic recession will likely follow whenever it is.

So the question is given all macros etc, does anyone disagree with this one?

If im missing something, be good to hear as its not my usual methodology. Only made an exception because it's silver and a ten year equity bull run to date

Is this a Company or an ETF?

ETF. Cheap monthly cost to subscribe (£1.50 per transaction whatever the amount).

I don't want the hassle of tracking a company for that long. Any divergence from sector . Prefer to just go into the directly related silver etf

Il also out a few pounds into small cap silver miners etf. Not decided which yet. SIL or something. Will see when they pull back a bit.

Good for outperforming silver. But I'd be putting less into it than silver etf given no idea when recession truly comes. They will try QE away from it as long as possible. So worth a subscription too on a lessor scale. But not yet. Needs a drop. Missed the last low

What i tend to do now is trade shares and invest in etfs.

Saves you the bad luck of choosing the conpany dog in the expected sector bounce selection .

Individual shares I just buy if sector aligns, for maybe 10-20% and out. A timeframe that tends not to punish you. Most bounce as sector does. Get 10-20 and then the dogs die while sector continues.

Given etf costs and reduced risk of sector single constituent selections , they are good value for medium to long-term holds. Assuming you choose right sector lol

Would you like to translate the above into plain English?

Most of it is incomprehensible to me, and I am sure to the vast majority of users of this site.

I do apologise. I usually trade with the rough necks. Sometimes I forget that normal English still exists.
