It depends what you are trying to achieve. I certainly don't understand the attraction to HSBC: we've had 10 years of bull market since the GFC with huge economic growth in China, and yet take a look at the 10 year chart for HSBA... Why should the next 10 years be better than the past 10 years for a global bank... higher interest rates?
