1970/80s Goalkeepers with studs in strikers faces

Just mentioned this to a younger colleague who can't remember it!

Have tried searching for Ray Clemence, Peter Shilton and Pat Jennings images on Google and nothing doing.

Did this die out because of a specific change in the rules or was it just treated as dangerous play? Any idea when it died out?

I was young at the time and I think I recall Jimmy Hill getting quite exercised about - Bob Wilson not so!
