The race was cancelled due to unsafe track conditions (standing water)

Very disappointing. 2 riders wanted to race but they were outvoted. I believe two teams wanted to try again on Monday, but they were outvoted too.

10 laps to go and 40 year old Valentino Rossi leads the US GP .....

The young 'uns are creeping up on him though.

A pretty epic MotoGP race from Mugello, Italy. No spoilers. Tomorrow night @ 10pm on Quest.

During practice, Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso (04) managed a mind blowing 221mph on Mugello's main straight.

Vinales mistakenly thinks that the flag signalling the end of the session has been waved....but it hasn't.

While hes waving to the crowd and generally dithering around the track, 2 fellow riders pass him either side on full chat...

Video halfway down, 25 seconds in.

It used to be that the owners of MotoGP would never allow clips on youtube. They used to be very aggressive in taking down anything related to the sport, pretty much forcing you into their own website. Fair do's, but they must have realised that it was an impossible task.

Anyway, things have changed and these days there are some great clips available. Clips like...:

Those riders are complete and utter nutters! Back in the 60's, I went to Mallory Park a few times to see Hailwood, Redman and Agostini. Thrilling and scary at the same time, defying all the laws of physics as they hurtled round the bends

I missed that one. Absolutely thrilling! Makes F1 seem a yawn fest.
