I worry that you may have misread the headline and perhaps rushed a little in your assessment of personal aptitude.....

The game is called 'Fortnite' Snorvey, not 'Fartnite'.....

Junior, what the hell are you doing outside playing football with your pals on this bright sunny day?

Get back inside that bedroom and on that computer this very minute!

.
.
It used to be that playing football every minute God sends (unless Wimbledon or the Open Golf was on where that sport took over for a short duration) was the only route to fame and fortune for the average kid in the street (certainly for me). It soon became apparent that millions of kids had the same idea and from that only a few were scouted out by the bigger clubs and even then only a tiny, TINY amount actually 'made it'.

My, how times have changed.

A US teenager has won a record-breaking $3m (£2.4m) to become world champion of the computer game Fortnite.

It is the largest prize pool in the history of e-sports, with $30m shared amongst the winners.

It goes on to say:

Forty million players attempted to qualify over 10 weeks of online competition.

There can be only one.
