It must be said that Smith has been a sensation. His performances at the crease is the main difference between the sides. A great batsman indeed.

You are dead right on all counts. Smith is a terrificly effective batsman, and interesting to watch (he looks somewhat deranged in his style, wonderful).

Lynch overstepping (criminal), and Curran dropping Paine does not help either.

A far better English response than I'd expected. However 5 wickets down and still nearly 300 behind, Aus in the driving seat still.

Well Root out to a corker, Burns as well both to the brilliant Cummings 0 for 2 game over. Cummings deserved his wickets, he had little luck up until then.

TBH With Smith Oz clearly better England with the bat, I'd say their bowling edges it as well and in this test they've held their catches.

Smith if he continues his form will challenge Bradman IMO.

Archer a gem for England. With thanks to Barbados. Stokes looks to be the world's best allrounder.

Overall it's been pretty good for test cricket.
