PL not all it's cracked up to be?
No PL side has managed to reach a European final this year. Can we remain smugly assured that the PL is the strongest league in the world?

Re: PL not all it's cracked up to be?
Why judge a single year?
In 2018-19, Liverpool beat Spurs in the Champions League final
In 2017-18, Liverpool were in the Champions League final
In 2018-19, Chelsea beat [expletive deleted] in the Europa League final
In 2016-17, Man U won the Europa league
Doesn't seem too shabby

You can't really make this assertion based on one season and a few bad results in a knock out competition. However, I do think that outside of Liverpool and Man City the quality of the PL was poor last year BUT if you take the top 6 teams from the PL they would be stronger overall than the top 6 teams from any other league IMHO. In that sense, I would say it is the strongest league.
All the best, Si
