I didn't follow the series too closely when it became clear "every day is bazball day".

I know I'm in a significant minority, and I also really enjoy ODI and T20, but I think they are devaluing what I enjoy as test cricket. And yes, another miracle innings from Stokes once every 10 games doesn't change that at all for me.

I'd hope they could find some middle ground where caution plays a part where necessary.

As for the series - well done India. A team who are awesome on home soil.

Bazball doesn't affect bowling the opposition out twice.

BB gets too much "blame" . If you can't bowl the oppo out twice in 5 days you are never going to win a test match, no matter whether you get bowled out for 170 or 570 and whether those totals take 75 overs or 275 overs.

I'd argue one of the qualities of test cricket is being hard to beat. If you can bat for 2 days and.accumulate 450+, without trying to score at IPL rates you tire and frustrate the opposition. You're then in the game.

If you can't bowl, using your scenario from above, why on earth would you bat champagne style which mostly ends up exposing your bowling so early.
