Can anyone please recommend a good guide book, and a book with good walking trails for Kyoto and the surrounding countryside?

Thanks very much

Last year I used the Lonely Planet guide. It's not got a focus on hikes, per se, but does talk about a couple that we ended up doing, including the Philosophers' Walk and the Bamboo Forest/Monkey park.

We are going again next month.
