When the locals say Orkney they will usually refer to the Mainland I assume, but as I said earlier, it does not really matter.

We did the Stacks of Duncansby cruise in June - lots of seabirds on the cliffs, and the boat was taken right up to them. We were hoping for Orcas, but were out of luck, however they appeared close to the cruise boat on the following week.
