Stratford Upon Avon, campsites for campervan

Visiting SoA to see Julius Caesar at the RSC/TST in April, with my dauughter, in our campervan. We'll need to pup the roof for the "upstairs" bed space so we're thinking

- arrive afternoon
- go0 to campsite
- pitch up and pop roof, site up etc.
- bus/taxi downtown
- see JC get murdered and a civil war
- return by bus/taxi.

anybody any suggestions as to the closest campsite to SoA for this? And/or on a bus route, preferably one that runs after the RST kicks out!

Ive of course googled for campsites etc but such pertinent queries such as "bus timetables etc" are lakcing typically and i really want to avoid calling half a dozen campsites to ask!

About 1.2miles from the theatre by the look of it...walkable or a taxi?

River taxi service to get you into town ..

Not tried it but might be worth an investigate?

Actually, Julius Caesar died some time ago.

We stayed at a campsite at Stratford racecourse. A pleasant walk along the river into town. And a quirky community pub nearby.

Scott.
