Train to Marseille from Lille

#287148

Postby genou » February 27th, 2020, 2:56 pm

Have I missed something fundamental? I can book a train direct from Lille to Marseille on 20/05 and on 22/05, but there are no trains at all on the Thursday 21/05, not even via Paris. Anyone know what is going on ?

21st May is a public holiday in France (like most days in May ;) ) so the railways probably have a reduced service

OFFS, but thanks. Some fiddling now required.

According to bahn.de, there are direct trains on Thursday 21 May. At 0538 (TGV5102), 0724 (TGV5111), 1400 (TGV5030) and 1703 (TGV9835).

SNCF and trainline.com are agreed that there aren't. I now see one train that leaves Lille earlier than I can be there that goes via Paris and takes over 9 hours. Simpler to change the day of the journey, I suspect.
