The program was very revealing - thanks for the link.
Despite having been quite fervent about protecting my privacy, there were a lot of things that I was not aware of, and even some things where updates seem to have undone my changes.

It can take surprisingly little combinations of such measures to collectively deduce uniqueness.
Approximate geographic location, for me, is usually my ISP who is far from Essex.
