Hi guys
my daughter uses an iPad Air 2 for school
- it is running out of space largely due to being used to create iMovies
I'd like to export what she has on the iPad to my PC (so she can watch them in the future) and then free up space
Just to make this more interesting:
- we don't have a mac
- and I would really rather avoid having to install iTunes anywhere
From my quick googling this looks harder than I would have expected
Anyone got any recommendations? or experience in this?
thanks

Re: Archving iMovie movies from iPad
iTunes is the most obvious free way, but had you come across the Sandisk Connect devices?
Saw one offering 200GB for £90, and Maplin had some at lower capacity and prices.
They resemble pen drives but allow Wireless transfer of data via an App on the iPad or iPhone and can also be plugged into a computer USB port. I have also seen something similar that does the WiFi bit but uses separate SD cards for storage. Don’t recall the name, sadly.
I have thought about getting one, but so far have not, so can’t give personal recommendation.

This describes a way of uploading an iMovie to Google Drive, which might help https://academics.cehd.umn.edu/mobile/2 ... gle-drive/

Thanks guys
both suggestions sound practical
- I'll try and get my hands on a "Connect" device (as they sound interesting anyway)
- and I'll see if I can get it play nicely with a Google account
Have fun
