Difficult to say - you don't tell us what you had before
You don't say what you want to do with these photos. Do you just to view them? See a slideshow? Edit them? Or what? Did you open them in Libre Office before or something else? What version of Windows do you have?

Re: libre office draw
might it be that the zoom settings have been set to something unusually small
have a look in the view option in the menu barand you should find options for zoom
- see if changing this makes any difference
- normally it should make what you see appear bigger or smaller: if it doesn't it might provide a clue
good luck

Re: libre office draw
history!!
windows 10
never done anything to change anything as dont understand most of it
i take photos on a digital camera with an SD card (thats how uptodate I am)
i out in a card reader and copy to desktop
from there I could copy to facebook or local free ads...or indeed to where vere i wanted a copy
I never knowingly set up how this was done...it just worked
starting yesterday the photos now open in Libreoffice draw and do not fill the screen etc
since yesterday and sice asking here for help...
i have discovered that when i 'right click' the photo icon it offers me a selection of how to open.....where/with what etc
the top one is libreoffice draw
further down in selection is 'photos'
this works as it used to
so in a way I have resolved my problem
but I would be interested to know WHY this has changed because clicking the top option ''open'' was always what was OK before
I guess I have accepted some change somewhere...but.......
thanks for taking the time to read here anyway

Re: libre office draw
Possibly an update to Libreoffice has been installed, and, by accident or design, has taken over as the application to use for image files. You should be able to tell it to revert to "photos" permanently via the selection menu you found.

Thanks for the detailed clarification, I understand your problem now.
Right-click on a photo and select 'Open with > Choose another app'. Tick the box for 'always use this app to open...', select Photos then click OK. This will make Photos your default again (putting it back to the top of the list) and put you back to how you were before.

Re: libre office draw
yes
my '''M''' is not co-operative much of the time
my ''H'' is not much better
I did in in fact post a correction to that 'many man' but I must have not submitted it correctly as it never appeared
hopefully no misunderstandings....'many many' was the intended!!
