My Moto G5 was always good and bright with its display, but in the alst week or so (a bit less maybe) its got really dark. To the extent that in town today (not a bright sunny day!) I couldn;t actually see anything at all - other than a couple of very generic slighter less dark blocks.
Ive checked the settings - display and the only option that seems logical is "adaptive brightness" - optimise brightness level for available light. Its a binary toggle and seems to make no discernible difference whatsoever setting it has ie on or off
anybody any ideas as to how to make the display brighter - its getting almost unusable (it was a Xmas 2017 present FTR)
