Re: font size in emails
At the bottom of the screen, to the right of the Send button, there are some options. Click on AA for the font options

Re: font size in emails
Doesn't seem to be working. Does the browser make a difference? I was using the one that comes with Windows 10.
I meant to ask also whether there is any way of printing out a draft email. The only way I know is to copy it and email it to myself and I just did that again after clicking on the small font size and I then clicked on the print icon but what came up looked exactly as it was previously so I didn't print it.

Another option is to hover over the Yahoo Mail 'cogwheel' (top right) and select Settings. In 'Writing email' you can set the default font and size.

You can print a draft the same as you would any other email. Go to your Drafts folder, click on a draft to highlight it, then Print is available under 'More' or by pressing the P key.

Turn off pseudo-HTML and send your mail as text.
That way it always renders at the size used by your recipient - whatever that may be.

We are talking about the Yahoo Mail web browser client here. It has no option available (as far as I can see) to do that...

Settings/more settings/writing email/Default rich-text font
(That's in BT Yahoo, not classic mail view).

Re: font size in emails
Thanks to all. I managed to change the font size for any new emails I type by following Bree's instructions but haven't yet found a way of changing it on the long draft I have been working on intermittently and want to reduce. I logged on to the YouTube video but the music that accompanied it was so loud and so distracting that I gave up. It all moved a bit too quickly for me to take in as well. How do I reduce or preferably switch off the music and is it actually possible to change the font size of something already typed in a draft before sending it?
Edit: I have switched off the sound now but still can't follow the video.

Open the draft, select all the text, then click on the AA symbol at the bottom of the post. See here:

You can then select any size you want. By selecting just parts of the text, you can make each character a different size if you wish

Many thanks, kiloran. All clear now. I wish I weren't so useless when it comes to computers. I came to them or, rather, they came to me much too late in life.
