Antivirus and Firewall for windows 10.

I've now got a new machine running windows with the inbuilt antivirus and firewall. Is thia adequate or should I install something else. Previously I used Comodo Firewall and the inbuilt W7 antivirus with Malwarebytes scans every couple of weeks.

I thought there might be an up to date thread on this but a search doesn't bring anything up since 2017

I think the built-in firewall is perfectly fine, there's no need to replace that.

The built-in virus scanner is also very good, though none of them are perfect at finding every possible virus as soon as they are released. I combine the built-in AV with F-secure's 'online' scanner that you do not need to install.

But make sure you run in 'Standard' not 'Administrator' mode. That's your first line of defence if anything nasty gets in.
