Using Firestick to watch BBC iPlayer and YouTube
I am able to skip trailers and ads when watching YouTube and iPlayer on my computer. But using Amazon Firestick with my TV there seems to be no way to avoid sitting through endless BBC trailers and YouTube ads. Is there a way that I have missed?
Re: Using Firestick to watch BBC iPlayer and YouTube
You should be able to just press the main Select button (the one in the middle of the circle) on the remote to skip?

That seems to work on YouTube, but not BBC iPlayer.
I'm not sure which model/edition of Firestick we have.

We have a firestick bought in June, and there is a 'skip' button in the bottom right of all iPlayer trailers which is highlighted, so just pressing the button takes you to the programme.

I can see the 'skip' button on screen, but can't find anything on the Firestick that activates it.

You should be able to press the 'Right' and 'Down' buttons on the remote control until the Skip option is highlighted pink then press OK.

I think that button is highlighted whenever it's on screen, so all you need to do is press the centre circle on the Firestick remote
