HELP ...harrasment by Microsoft
every two days i receive a message from microsoft telling me that my account needs fixing...'click here to fix in...''
its in that pop up box in bottom corner
I go directly to my account (in case it was a scam)
and laterly i have tried by clicking the message also
once in my account I am told 'all account is working fine!'
I have repeatedly messaged microsft telling them to stop messaging me.............no reply/response...no surprise there!!
does anyone have an idea how I can stop these messages...telling microsoft AGAIN just does NOT work
despite they asking for feedback
i am not a tchie type so have no idea of what I might be 'missing' if indeed my account is out of date...

Re: HELP ...harrasment by Microsoft
To check: is the message referring to your Windows logon account or a Microsoft Mail account. These are not necessarily the same; it depends on whether you elected for a Microsoft account or a 'local' account when your Windows was set up.
You may, of course, not be able to tell which the message is referring to, but a similar message is a longstanding 'feature' of Mail.

Re: HELP ...harrasment by Microsoft
It wont be MS directly hassling you. Its just there software checking it can connect or somesuch and flagging that it cannot. Messaging MS will acheive nothing - one, they dont care, and 2, they'll have no more diea what account or whatever its allegedly failing to connect to than you do.
What version of windows is it? I(t its YEARS as you say then you'll have even less chance of any possible MS response if its out of suypport.
Actually - when you say you've messaged MS - what exactyly do you mean by "message" ? email? twitter? text?
cheers
didds

hi
its windows 10 so i guess its a case of it 'seems like' years..since setting up
i did have 7 before but on different laptop
as it seems logical i imagine i set up with amicrosft acct not a local one........bare in mind i would have no idea of either!
i send my 'messages' in whatever feedback link is withing the settings bit of system and the warnings they sending to me
in both cases I shall check which aspect (mail or logon) the messaage refers to next time

Have you tried a right-click on the notification and choose disable notifications for email?

Have you tried right clicking on the notification icon and clicking turn off notifications?
