Ubunto 20.04 DT icons ?

I recently updated to 20.04 and all's gone OK with one minor irritant.
The DT icons remain highlighted/on/lit whatever the correct term is, until you click on the desktop itself.
Is this the normal behaviour or if not, how do I prevent it?
