How to duplex print on a HP laster 103w

I'm not getting something...

I've a HP laser 103w.

I can set it to print both sides, long edge and it goes off and prints the first half of the pages.

Then a pop up window shows how to manually remove the paper from the out "tray" and feed uit into the paper tray.

It then says "push the button" - but I can't see any button to press. All there is is the power button and pressing that seems to just kill the print job - leaving me with a half printed file.

Anyone any ideas? ive googled of course but i cant find anything specific to the 103w duplex printing, just other HP printers which bear no resemblance to it...

Here is the HP manual for the HP Laser 103, 107 and 108 series.

On page 18 it shows the 'Control panel overview'. Apparently you should have a 'Resume/Cancel' button.

Manual print
- Press this button to print the other side of all pages if you have selected Double-sided Printing (Manual) in your driver.

In desperation I removed the printer completely from my system and reinstalled the drivers form the previously downloaded driver executable.

And of course it now works.

Go figure

stand down everybody!

And many thank Breelander (as ever) for finding the tiny tiny nuance Id missed when I had scoured the manual earlier !

Ah yes! A variation on the old “turn it off and back on again” ploy.
“Remove and replace”.
Along with “uncheck and recheck” and “unplug and stick back in”.

All useful tools in the toolbag for when one has no flipping clue as to what is actually wrong but surprisingly often fruitful.
