Camera is Logitech finest, sound via decent powered speakers, broadband is FTTP .... so what please is the best way to light a single user sitting at a screen (not laptop)? One of these very white lights pointed at the cream wall behind the screen?
Any suggestions pls

Re: Lighting for Zoom, Teams etc meetings
A decent range of suggestions here...

My immediate reaction was to think back to portrait photography, where a reflective umbrella was often used. Making something similar with card and tin foil, Blue Peter style, with a bright white light aimed at it might be a cheap option to experiment with.

A photography tip that works really well is to diffuse light from a built on flash by putting a tissue or some other white material over it. Rigging up something along those lines would help. Or as you say pointing a harsher light at the ceiling and/or wall

A light below your face pointing upwards gives a nice Vincent Price Hammer Horror look.
Dunno if you caught that series a few months back following some online porn stars ... the cam girls all seemed to use a single ring light -- a big one. I reckon they know something.

Diffuse light definitely looks better to me, especially if you wear glasses where direct light from behind the camera can cause reflection issues.
