Mrs C's iPhone has behaved weirdly. I didn't witness it so this is second hand. Her phone just 'spoke' to her (audio message) saying something like, "You are running out of storage and need to clean your phone now". This was accompanied by a popup graphic of a finger pointing at a red button. All Mrs C had done had stopped a Sonos device playing and put her phone down. She closed the popup screen by swiping it up.
I presume this is not standard iPhone behaviour? What might cause it? If there is malware, what else might it do and how do I get rid of it?
Thanks

Re: IPhone strange behaviour - malware?
I've had iPhones for years and never had such a message. It sounds like a dodgy attempt to get her to click the red button, at which point malware will be installed. Send a report to Apple - information on this page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102568
