Hotmail Problem urgent

Trying to get into hm this morning on laptop it puts a banner on the screen which doesn't respond to any clicks and screen goes dim.

Can't logout or proceed.

Tried enter, esc, right click, space and going to the garage to find a hammer.

Luckily the ipad hm works.

Any ideas please?

It's a new addition to the hotmail by hotmail.

Something to do with Focussed and Other.

Googling says it is a worldwide problem today.

Try clearing your cache for all hotmail/outlook.com cookies etc.?

I found this on how to turn off "Focussed Inbox" but the banner comes up and dim screen so quickly that I cannot perform the instructions.

I have cleared cache by running CCleaner.

The whole screen is dim? If so, this is usually assign that the User Account Control (UAC) has kicked in. Once in a while the UAC prompt is minimised rather than front and centre on the screen. Look for an icon for the UAC on the taskbar and click on it. Or try Alt-Tab until you find it.

Touch wood, it is working fine today!

Yesterday we had the same problem on two other computers with different login names.
