It is small, quick and problem free, as he says. He was not able to install Thunderbird in Software because he did not select All before searching for it. That is not very helpful, but it is not a problem. You do not have to save the yellow "Post Its" if you use them.

You can do this with linux Mint too. I have a permanent Mint installed on a USB 3.0 memory stick. It is astonishingly quick. For instance, LibreOffice Calc, the spreadsheet program, loads in a couple of seconds.
