Everyone - thank you. A lot to think about. Just when I get a little fed up with the rather tedious bipartisan and hackneyed 'debates' on a couple of political topics, a bunch of Fools come along and remind me of the positive side of TLF.

I was thinking in terms of insulating the attic space internally, although that would reduce the room height (but it would help in winter too). Perhaps in tandem with solar panels to reduce sun on the roof: but these wouldn't be cheap solutions.
