Lidl Water Resistant Paint

#140565

Postby MikeyWorld » May 22nd, 2018, 3:32 pm

Hi, I'm new over here.

I spotted the above in Lidl - About £7 for 2.5 Litres

Compared to about £12 for 750ml of polycell damp seal

I'm guessing it's not the same thing - or is it?

Yes, not the same thing.

The former is applied to resist water splashes etc, such as in a bathroom.

The latter http://www.polycell.co.uk/product/polyc ... damp-seal/ is used:

to seal patches of penetrating damp on interior walls and ceilings in just one coat, preventing them from showing through and spoiling decorations.

Seals patches of penetrating damp on interior walls and ceilings in just one coat.

You can then paint over the damp seal when totally dry.
