using MDF or Ply as sliding doors?

We have a half wall that was never finished in our hall extension. It's about 2 meters long and 1 meter high. I was going to run some cables, pipework etc through here and then box it in using some MDF T&G effect panels, and cap it off with a long window sill.

I'm now thinking if I added some sliding door gear it would make a really useful shoe cupboard. We have loads of shoes in this house. The sliding doors will be top hung so all weight goes on the top and the bottom just has a guide.

Would the mdf panels (6mm) warp or twist?

If so could I fix them to some plywood or something else to prevent warping or twisting?
