Annual Electricity Statement

#205512

Postby richlist » March 4th, 2019, 8:07 pm

Just received my annual electricity statement 31st January 2018 - 31st January 2019.

Annual electricity costs = £498. With solar panels

Less feed in tariff payments from UK Gov = £240
Less x2 Winter Fuel Allowances = £200

Result.....annual cost £58 = happy days.

* You only get WFA if you qualify for it, by age.....this is the first year for us.
* As it's a payment towards fuel costs it seems reasonable to use the money for exactly that.
* My experience is that many people forget about it.

You are very fortunate, the usual procedure with two qualifying people in a household is to split the £200 allowance into 2 * £100 and credit them separately. I think you get an increase at age 75. I suspect you have only had the one payment.

Looks right to me, £200 is the household figure, as you say, and that is what richlist shows as a deduction from his total charge.

Or are you suggesting richlist's OH if there is one, squanders their share? :D
