Wallpaper cracking round window.

Round our south facing living room window the embossed wallpaper my wife chose is cracking and fading, generally not looking good. The rest of the room looks fine.

If I removed the old paper from round the window and replaced it with a similar weight paper would this look odd?
And if I do, should I wrap it round the edges of the window recess into the room?

Always happens to south facing window reveals. Solar gain.

Remove the wall paper to the reveal and paint the reveal in a neutral paint (not gloss)

You can cut the paper at the window aris/corner using a straight edge and a sharp knife
